The evaluation of literary history about Yosan Kim Jung-han is mostly argued in the field of progressive national literature and regional literature. These kinds of criticism and discussion were appeared in connection with previous study. Easily speaking, it was actively accomplished that confirming nationality and regionalism of his literature or examining these limitation. It is true that these studies contributed to appear historical value and literary meaning of his literature. However, this study asked a question about previous criticism of his works, and also insisted to remind their whole context. Especially, this study focused to show that time-passing context of his literature is made by purpose in continuous logic, not just cessation and leaping with the concept of 'late style' of Edward Wadie Said. Also, this study asserted that studies of his literature should be focused on reading a gap between cessation and break by critical examination about succeeding character which included in his literary biography from early period to last phase of him. This study is also another quest about a method of critical theory on authors. The limitation of such theory, which smoothly forms single self-identity of authors, has been frequently criticized. However, it is not desirable that this kind of criticism make reducing passion to study. This study cast doubt on the method that Yosan's literary position is constituted in the theory of national literature, so focused on various heterogeneity of his texts in which violates literary tradition. Especially, this study critically discussed existing common notion about Yosan's literature through self consciousness of his old age and study of his full-length novel Sambyeolcho (1977). By this study, you would discover the clue which can deeply think about contradiction and foreignness in another way. The theory based on authors has possibilities to produce imaginary discourse, in which included researchers' desire. Therefore, it is important that searching for text's real context in his contradiction than just following the author's greatness.
