본 연구는 기업 임직원들의 사회공헌활동을 통한 기부활동에 영향을 미치는 요인을 살펴보는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 분석하기 위해 본 연구는 기부와 관련된 일반적 요인과 조직관련 요인이 기업 임직원의 기부활동참여에 영향을 미치는 지를 분석하였다. 본 연구는 교보생명직원들을 대상으로 하여 사회공헌활동에 대한 인식 및 사회공헌활동을 통한 기부참여여부 등에 대해 설문조사를 실시하였으며 수집된 자료를 기반으로 로지스틱 회귀분석과 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 사회적 책임의 인식보다는 일반적인 기부활동과 유사하게 이전의 기부경험, 근속연수와 같은 일반적 인들이 영향을 미치고 있음을 보여주었다. 이러한 결과는 기업 임직원들은 사회공헌활동을 통한 기부참여활동을 개인적인 활동으로 인식하고 있다는 것을 의미하며, 결론적으로 기업의 사회공헌활동이 사회적 책임을 이행하기 위한 조직적 활동임을 임직원들이 인식할 수 있도록 하는 방안 모색이 필요함을 시사해 준다.
The purpose of this study is to understand the characteristics of employees’ donation in the workplace and to analyze what factors affect their philanthropic activities in the workplace. Accordingly, this study investigated the effects of both organizational and individual factors. The first factors included employees’ perception of corporate social responsibility and motivations, and the latter included employees’ general socio-economic status and their previous experiences of donation. This study has two major findings. Frist of all, this study presented that employees’ donation in the workplace have been affected not only by individual factors, but also organizational factors. This showed that their philanthropic activities through donation in the workplace have been significantly affected by organizational factors, such as coercive motivation. Second, the perceived level of corporate social responsibilities did not significantly affected donation of employees in the workplace. It indicated that Kyobo’s employees were likely to understand their donation in the workplace not as a part of corporate social responsibility, but as individual behaviors with regardless of their job in the workplace. The study has both academic and practical implications. This study found organizational factors to explain employees donation in the workplace in addition to individual factors suggested in previous studies on general donation. Practically, it suggested how efficiently and effectively corporations encourage their employees to take part in corporate donation and manage employees’ participation corporate philanthropic activities by establishing a connection between employees’ individual activities and performance of corporate social responsibility.
