A Study on Meanings of Discourse Marker ‘geurado’

The aim of this thesis is to study meanings of not conjunction ‘geurado’ but discourse marker ‘geurado’. Discourse maker ‘geurado’ has fundamental meaning of concession. So discourse maker ‘geurado’ needs to study in social interaction in association with face work. Discourse maker ‘geurado’ shows up within turn-taking of speaker and in front of pre-starts of reaction utterance. The result of this thesis, discourse maker ‘greuado’ was used by mitigator for speaker and listener in social interaction in association with face work. Discourse maker ‘geurado’ does funtion of ‘negation, hesitation, focus on opinion, feeling does and topic closing’.
