역사동화를 활용한 문학교육 방법과 실천 활동

Literary Education Methods and Practical Activities using the Fairy Tale of History

박경리의 「토지」는 한국문학사에서 뿐 아니라 교육현장에서 중요한 작품으로 자리하고 있다. 비단 제도권 교육의 영역이 아니어도 「토지」는 문단과 학계, 독서시장에서 중요한 작품으로 평가 받고 있다. 이 글에서는 󰡔동화 토지󰡕 를 대상으로 작품의 교육적 활용과 실제 교육현장에서 활용할 수 있는 실천활동을 살펴보았다. 「토지」의 교육적 활용은 단지 문학 교육뿐 아니라 글쓰기, 말하기, 역사교육 등의 영역으로 확장될 수 있다. 「토지」의 다양한 변형본 들이 출판되고 독자들이 호응하는 것 역시, 단순히 소설적 재미를 넘어 작품을 통한 일종의 학습과 교양에 대한 기대도 반영된 것으로 보아야 할 것이다. 이에 착안하여 본고에서는 「동화 토지」를 활용한 쓰기 교육과 말하기 교육, 역사교육, 장르전환과 매체활용 등 구체적인 실천 활동을 모색해 보았다.

Park Gyeong-ni’s Toji is the very important work in the history of Korean literature and education. Despite the non-institutional education, 『Toji (Land)』is the important text regarding its effects and readers’ interest. This study looked into educational use of works and practical activities in real education, targeting 『Fairy tale, Toji (Land)』. The education use of 『Toji』will connect and communicate with education as well as surrounding literature such as writing, speaking and history education. Various revised copies of 『Toji』have been published in line with readers’ response, which shows that a kind of learning and culture seems to be reflected through works beyond simple fun of novels. Given that point, this study sought for specific practical activities such as education for writing, speaking and history as well as a turn of field and the use of media by using 『Fairy tale, Toji (Land)』.
