In this paper, I would like to compare the Perception of Christianity & Islam regarding Sin. Christianity and Islam agree on the definition of sin. They consider that sin results from disobeying God's word or obeying Satan's word. But there is a difference in the understanding of original sin, which the progenitors of human race, Adam and Eve, had committed. According to the Christianity, it is said that they had committed the sin, by eating the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. For this sin, Adam and Eve were exiled from Eden. So original sin has been inherited to descendants of humankind. But Islam insists that there is no room for intervening in original sin because Adam was forgiven by Allah. How can we keep ourselves innocent in a sinful world? This is the reason why Christianity and Islam should reply to this proposition.
