이 연구는 홀리스틱 체육교육 속에 함의된 다문화교육의 의미와 가치를 탐색함으로써 홀리스틱체육교육의 다문화교육에의 실제적인 방향성을 모색하는 데 그 옥적이 있다 이를 위해 관련 문헌조사를 통해 탐색하고 분석하였다 이 연구의 결과는 첫째， 홀리스퇴 체육교육과 다문화교육의 공통된 핵심은 ‘배려’의 가치관을 수반한다 둘째， 다문화교육을 위한 홀리스틱 체육교육의 방향성은크게 ‘닮에서 삶으로의 적용’， ‘문화적 소수자와 문화적 다수자에 대한 통합적 교육’， ‘교사교육을 학생교육과 병행’ 이라는 세 가지 과제로 분석되었다 닮에서 삶으로의 적용을 위한 구체적인 활동 프로그램은 다양한 신체활동， 스포츠 관람하기， 외국의 전통놀이 체험， 활동 과정과 후 글쓰기， 정서적 감상문 쓰기 등을 통한 교수 · 학습 방법이 제안되었다 문화적 소수자와 문화적 다수자에 대한 통합적 교육의 방법으로서 홀리스틱 체육교육의 역할은 스포츠와 같은 체육활동을 통해 사회통합， 갈등 해소， 편견과 차빌 예방과 같은 기능을 하게 된다고 강조하였다 마지막으로 교사교육을학생교육과 병행해야 한다는 점은 다문화교육에 있어 교사의 태도에 대한 중요한 의미를 부여한것으로서， 이를 위한 교사교육의 방향으로는 다문화교육에 대한 교사의 인식 개선 훈련， 다문화가 정 자녀들을 위한 생활지도와 상담 교육， 다문화교육을 위한 학습자료 개발 다문화교육을 위한 교수학습방법의 개발 등이 필요하다

This study aims to explore an search for significance and value of multicultural education and to inquire directivity of holistic physical education around aspect related multicultural education. This study were obtained results. First, holistic physical education and multicultural education involves 'care values' in common. Second, thedirectivities of holistic physival education fr multicultural education were analysed as follows. 1) 'the applicaton of thelife from the knowledge'. Here are ome specific activity examples: physival activities, sports watching, traditional game participation, writing for before and process ofactivi, wrin for one's impression. 2) 'the integrated education between cultural majority and cultural minority: Holistic physical education has a role as a tool of social integration, conflict solution, and, prejudice an discrimination prevention'. 3) 'teacher education has to keep pace with student education'. The directions of teacher's eduation in a multicultural education were guidance and consultation, learning programs development, teaching and learning method.
