Korea became a well-known leader in the paperless trade infrastructure and strategic policies. An one-stop trading system named 'u-Trade Hub' is operated by a paperless trade service provider KTNET. It includes foreign exchange transactions, improving trading procedures and reducing related expenses for a savings of 2.5 trillion won per year. Moreover, the efforts were expanded to the global areas. Korea has started its efforts to activate multi-national paperless trade alliances such as PAA, ASEAL as well as established the bilateral cooperative networks with China and Taiwan. This L firm's case shows that e-trade needs awareness and strong support from top management for its global business reengineering and competitive-edge, internal and external system integration, and legal validation of electronic messages and their negotiability.
