제조기업의 설계품질이 품질 및 기술경쟁력에 미치는 영향

Effects of Design Quality on Quality and Technology Competitiveness in Manufacturing Industry

본 연구의 목적은 우리나라 제조기업의 설계품질, 시스템품질, 제조품질 요소를 규명하고, 이 요소들이 품질 및 기술 경쟁력에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 지를 알아보는 것이다. 제조기업의 설계품질, 시스템품질, 제조품질과 경쟁우위와의 관계를 6개의 가설을 세워 검증하였다. 한국표준협회(KSA)가 실시한 ‘국내 산업의 품질경쟁력 수준조사’의 자료를 기초로 하여 13개 업종에서 총 1045개 제조기업 데이터를 통계분석에 활용하였다. 연구결과에 의하면 설계품질은 시스템품질, 제조품질, 품질 및 기술경쟁력에 긍정적으로 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 시스템품질은 제조품질, 품질 및 기술경쟁력에 긍정적인 영향을 주고 있다. 제조품질은 경쟁우위에 유의미한 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다.

The purpose of this study is not only to classify quality factors into design, manufacturing and system quality but also to examine the relationship between quality factors and technology competitiveness in manufacturing industry. We suggest the research model and set six hypotheses. The authors collect data from 1,045 manufacturing firms within 13 types of industries, which is a part of ‘the quality competitiveness survey’ which conducted by KSA (Korea Standard Association) in year of 2008. Consequently, the results show that design quality has an effect on manufacturing quality, system quality, and technology competitiveness positively. System quality takes positive effects on manufacturing quality and technology competitiveness. However, manufacturing quality has no significant effect on technology competitiveness statistically.
