This study has applied a drawing method using a 3D scanner for rapid and accurate design in order to solve the problems of CAD currently conducted by hand such as long-lasting drawing procedure and measurement errors. It also suggests RED system, a brand-new drawing method of jewelry CAD by using the method of eliminating unnecessary acute triangles with triangulation so as to reduce the computational errors of object modeling. Moreover, with the solid processor, the shape of the master pattern was completed as well. This research attempts to shorten the procedure of CAD design process, eliminate data errors, and stabilize shape processing and suggests a future direction for a variety of researches and development with the convergence system that can create economic effect through reducing production time. With this, it intends to utilize the data to improve the efficiency of pattern production by simplifying the CAD procedure and developing effective design.
