The characteristics of Design in Cultural Products

The main subject of this research is investigating characteristics of external form of cultural products in korea. To research the design of cultural products especially in craft area which are in circulation, this study examines based on six categories such as shape, texture, technique, color, material and function. Through the investigation, the characteristics of design in cultural products can be define as following wards; ①conventional design ②simple shape ③small and low price necessaries. The purpose of the research is define the practial meaning of cultural products and revaluate the relationship with craft. Through this, the research delves into problems that current cultural products have, and suggests solutions.
