A Study on Development of Ceramic Tea Table Using Floral Design Lattice Door

There are no accurate documents in Korea ; when tea prevailed from, how to spread out and come up to the present time, but we can see the origin and the background in some literatures. Culture of tea enjoyed from the aristocracy and the Buddhist monks became prosperous in the Shilla but went downhill and extinct in the starting point of Japanese Invasion of Korea in 1592. In the 19th, Jeong Yak-yong raised the question of tea culture, and Kim Jeong-hui and Choi Zen master were connected with the spirit of tea culture. Culture of tea is not the culture of tea club but mass culture. At the point of time tea is located in the favorite food, tea sets need to be recomposed in the various kinds and usages. I produced the tea tables in the combination with the table and water drawer(Tae Su Gi). Tea tables made them embossed work and handmade techniques by applying the patten of floral design lattice door using temple and palace. They are eased of sinking the water. Water drawer(Tae Su Gi) formed with the kind of drawer are eased of sinking and getting rid of the water. Especially, I expect popularization of tea culture as I improve the practical and simple but elegant tea tables taking the tea table's characteristics.
