The Affects of Hildegard Gemstone Therapy on the Depression and Self-esteem of the Middle-aged Women

The purpose of this study was to identify the affects of hildegard gemstone therapy on the depression and self-esteem of the middle-aged women. The research design was one group pretest-posttest experimental design. The subject were metropolitan of the D 5 jewelry specialty stores visited more than 40 years of age, 64 years old with a total of 43 end an 8-week study of hildegard gemstone therapy was applied. Data was collected from June 15, 2009 to October 5, 2009. The data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, mean, standard deviation, independent t-test and paired t-test using SPSS/PC 12.0 win. post-validation were used to turky test. After receiving hildegard gemstone therapy, depression(t=7.372, p=.000) were significantly decreased, but there were no significant differences in self-esteem(t=-1.643, p=.108). In conclusion, hildegard gemstone therapy reduce to the depression of the middle-aged women. These results provide scientific basic data by actually validate that down through oral and literature on effects of hildegard gemstone therapy, this research is based on the marketing strategies and plan to expand the market of the future jewelry market.
