松溪 金振興(1621~ ?)의 篆書 淵源에 관한 소고

A Study on Kim, Jin-heung(1621~ ?)'s Origin of Jeonseo

松溪 金振興은 朝鮮 중기에 활동했던 서예가로, 篆書에 많은 업적을 남겼다. 그의 생애는 중인이라는 신분적 한계를 극복하고 전서의 서막을 열면서 전서 38체에대한 자형을 복원하였다. 그의 전서 학습연원은 呂爾徵의 훈육과 朱之蕃의『전결』그리고 景惟謙의『篆韻便覽』을 전거로 삼아 평생을 전서와 함께하였으며, 당시 학계의 대가였던 宋時烈․呂聖齊․金萬基 등의 적극적인 인정과 평가를 받았다.김진흥이 복원한 전서38體의 字形은 鳥篆으로부터 시작하여 上方大篆․ 龜書․穗書․奇字篆․芝英篆․碧落篆․大篆․飛白書․科斗書․金錯書․鳥跡書․古篆․柳葉篆․殳書․懸鐵書․轉宿篆․玉筯篆․倒薤篆․麟書․鐘鼎書․龍書․鵠頭書․鼎小篆․秦璽篆․古鼎書․懸針篆․鳳尾書․龍爪篆․垂雲書․刻符書․剪刀篆․小篆․垂露篆․纓絡篆․太極篆․墳書․雕蟲篆 등이다.이러한 篆書 연구의 의의와 성과는 세 가지로 요약할 수 있다. 첫째, 선진유학의 복고적 신념을 근간으로 三代文字의 발현이라는 이상적 관념을 담아내었다는점. 둘째, 前代의 수천 년 동안 발전해온 전서 가운데 38체 자형을 일시에 회복하고 집대성한 최고의 작업을 이루었다는 점. 셋째, 자형의 복원에만 그치지 않고 전서의 창조적 미의식과 효용성을 篆大學과 東銘篆帖․禮部韻玉篇篆書․篆海心鏡․松溪各體篆帖 등 각종 저서를 간행하여 당대뿐만 아니라 후대 전서연구와 유행에 큰 영향을 미쳤다는 점이다.본고는 이러한 큰 성과를 이룬 김진흥의 전서 연원을 살핌과 동시에 그의 연구업적을 소개하여 서예학계의 재평가를 기대해 보고자 하였다.

Songgye(松溪), Kim, Jin-heung(金振興) who worked as a calligrapher in the middle period of Chosun, left the remarkable achievements in the field of JeonseJeonseo(篆書). He overcame the limits of his social standing of Jungin(中人). Preluding the Jeonseo(篆書), he restored the characters for 38 styles of Jeonseo(篆書). His origin of Jeonseo(篆書) was based on the education of Yeoijing (呂爾徵), 『Jeongyeol(篆訣)』of Jujibeon(朱之蕃) and 『Jeonunpyeollam(篆韻便覽)』of (景惟謙). I can say he lived with Jeonseo(篆書) through life. In result, he received much recognition and high estimation from Song, Si-yeol (宋時烈), Yeo, Seong-je(呂聖齊), and Kim, Man-gi(金萬基),etc, who were the great scholars at that time. The characters for 38 styles of Jeonseo(篆書) that he restored started from Jojeon(鳥篆) and he restored Sangbangdajeon(上方大篆), Guiseo(龜書),Suseo(穗書),Gijajeon(奇字篆),Jiyeongjeon(芝英篆),Daejeon(大篆), Byeokrakjeon(碧落篆), Bibaekseo(飛白書), Gwaduseo(科斗書), etc. I can summarize the significance and the result from the research of Jeonseo(篆書) in three points as follows: First, he put the ideal spirit into the revelation of three types of characters on the basis of restorative faith in Confucianism(儒學). Second, he restored and compiled Jeonseo(篆書) into 38 styles at once which had been developed for several thousands of years . He completed the best work for his life in the end. Third, he didn't only restore the forms of characters, but also put the creative aesthetic sense and the utility into his works, as follows: 『Jeondaehak(篆大學)』·『Dongmyeongjeoncheop(東銘篆帖)』· 『Yebuunokpyeonjeonseo(禮部韻玉篇篆書)』·『Jeonhaesimgyeong(篆海心鏡)』· 『Songgyegak(松溪各體篆帖)』, etc. And also he published various books and greately influenced to the study and popularization of Jeonseo of the time as well as after ages. Finally, I tried to research the Kim, Jin-heung's Origin of Jeonseo. At the same time I expect the revaluation for him in the field of calligraphy through his achievements.
