A Study on the Characteristics and Analysis of Goryeo Celadon in Gangjin

The ceramic ware III Korea had charac teri st ics by the age with the eternal history. Also, we all recognize that it has formed excellent ceramic culture. Ieonnam area has formed a part of highest level in the ceramic culture cU110ng them. And, it took important place in ceramic history like the distribution of kilns and became a mainstream. Also, the importa nt historic relics like all over Daegu-myeontllistoric relics No. GS) and Samheung - ri, Chilryang-rnyeon where the handicraft groups who produced Goryeo celadon dwelled left in Gangjin. Among them, the reason why Daegu-rnyeon and Chilrvanz - rnveon introduced the technique of celadon in China rapidly by the development of means of tran sportation, natu ral condition like climate, potter' s clay, fuel, and shipping, etc ., and the group dwelling with the technical exports for about GOO years from the end of unified Silla to the end of Goryeo. As for the celadon in Gangjin. the genera l technique that could produce the celadon was already prepared because the technique of producing the lime ceramic ware has been generalized, adding to the technical traditi on of hardened ceramic ware through about lOOOyear s since the era of the Three States. In this situation, the celadon was handed down from China, and the Goryeo people who have recognized the utility and beaut y of celadon hi ed to make efforts to produce celadon. Gorveo people called the color of celadon a jade green because it was similar to the color of green jadeite about the color of myst erious color beyond description. As for the method of research ana lysis, the presumption of production center will beuseful to the objecti ficat ion of ant iquaria n ali historic research that was composed of typical classification method by the COITect interpretati on of scientific analysis data. Th at is, the production technique of ccladon was est imated in technical view of ceramic engineering with the mat erials by physicochemical check. analysis like mineral composition, chemical compos ition, and firing temperature, etc., and the structural analysis in structural way s. Th e presumption of production center was based on the geological characteristics in the extraction area of raw materials for using the celadon clay. It was composed by the analysis of trace element on a basis of c! eramic technical side and engineering side. It analyzed and investigated the fragment of ccladon all over Yongmun-ri, Gyul- ri, and Sadang'-ri centered on the kilns synthetically. Acco rdingly, this researcher recognizes excellence of Korean Goryeo celadon again as a result of this study. And this researcher is to be helpful to last our cultura l legitimacy and exce llence of Ganjin celadon with the deep sense of duty as a pott er who lives in the modem society.
