A Lotus Pattern has been widly regarded as "purity and rebirth" pattern for hundreds of years in Korea. In this paper, a computer technique to design commercial ties is presented by employing the Lotus pattern as a basic motive. And we will develop and show several newlydesigned ties. This work is intended to formulate Korean traditional patterns in our cultural industries that can particulary be well accepted by foreign people.
