A Study on Red Brick Design considering Harmony with the Modern Buildings

Today our buildings show an aspect, different from the past because of the tendency of the world and developed technology. Natural mater ials like stones, woods, and bricks, etc . used as conve ntional main building mater ials are regres sive, and new buildings take mainst ream usin g art ificia l materials like cement, iron, and glass, etc. Modern men try to make the impoveri sh ed enviro nment purify smoothly and supply comfort and aest het ic pleasure, using endemic natura l materials like stones , soils, and woods, etc . have widely used from the ancient becau se of repercu ssion by product s of machine represented by iron and concrete . However people can not use these natural objec ts popular ly because they are too expensive when they are not fit for our changed lives and arc hitectura l environment or they are pract ically used in. Also the people are deeply concerned to use red bricks consisted of soils as materials that do not destroy natu re and give them comfort from the feeling of natu ral object simultaneously according to the appear ance of discrepancy like destruct ion of natural environment for improving the dw elling environment. The bricks have advantages: first, they have images of nat ura l objec ts . Second, they can be popularl y used. T hird, they can do artistic ex pres sion and mass production as materials th at decorat e building s beautifully. Modern men prefer decorati ve materi als with individuality with the natural images. Accordin gly the manufacture of br icks with peculi ar design s can induce the competitiveness of products and the variety of architectura l environment. As for the developmen t of th is produ ct s, it is to recognize the necessit y of red brick design s tudy for the architectural environment that people can fell 'natu ra l beauty ' modern men requi re and develop the products that give them psychological sense of stability in harmony with the environment. Also the purpose of th is produ ct is to make the domes tic economy act ivated through the localizat ion of building materials.
