A Study on the Metal Materials of Ancient Korea

In this paper, I propose two methods on studying the remains of metal objects. First, We in vestigate the process of metal pro ducting and the meth ods of mat eri al usage by re vi e win g severa l techni cal books a nd the hi st ori cal documents . Se cond, in vest ig at e th e cultural development process related to the technologies by ana lyz ing the material s. I . In the Bron ze objects, it is not iced th at various compos itio n rati os of Copp er and Tin arc ex is ted according to the kinds of objects . 2. The Iron objects, in the ea rly Iron Age , rev eal high stee lma king technologies of carbo npenetrat ion by re pea ted hitting and parching produ ct s. 3. Re finement techniqu es of Gold and Sil ver are premiti ve, but ama lgam gilding and silver refin in g tec hniq ues are hi ghl y developed. 4. Alloy technologies of Brass and White co ppe r use different material s and techniques when co mpared with cur re nt technologies.
