The personal ornaments have matured feature since three countries period of Korea which leads to current metal crafts. Especially, the three countries' gold crowns have their own shapes and aesthetic senses. They are symbolic crafts that has harmonized society, culture and religion of that time which has modern aesthetic elements and ancient mysticism. Gold crowns are formal and occult ornaments which have very strong symbolism of worshiping and pray for the absolute and they contain spiritual matter, high technologies and willing for art. They have been samples for the Korean crafts. Through the study of cultural heritage and understand the significance of three countries' gold crown which are origins of Korean ornaments. It shows the role of personal ornament of possibility in the present and in the future. To be able to understand the spirituality of the gold crowns, I looked at the symbolism, materials and techniques had used on the purpose of this study. Each element of gold crowns has its own historical backgrounds. Goguryeo and Baekjei were influenced by shamanism, Taoism and Buddhism; and they have their own styles of forms and patterns. Silla believed in shamanism based on immortality and life after death. Its crowns were very simplified and standardized. Like this, the beauty of gold crowns present the idea and belief of the people in that time symbolically. It was started from the craftsmanship that gave inherent life of gold crowns. The gold crowns show the spiritual world of people and craftsmen in that time by people's simple will through symbolic medium. They radiate excellent artistic beauty of shapes among other Korean crafts and become great motive to artists now. This study have intention of inherit and develop identity and originality of gold crowns and moreover to apply on contemporary personal ornament development.
