A Study on Reproduction and Modernization of the Traditional NA-JU Small Dining Table

The modern people have weakened their proper culture and tradition for the sake of their living convenience. But, since the regional characteristics which are similar to individual personality have been disappeared, the man's emotion has been also dried. Although the world society has been in a network due to the development of information and traffic systems, each nation cries for their own nationalism and advocates their superiority. The Korean traditional culture can also show its national pride and the commonality of its group when we find out and develop the cultural background and it is applied to modern life. Table (Sang) is also one of our unique culture, but is has been gradually disappeared. This study describes the materials, manufacturing tools and process and painting of table in order to find a factor which can develop and use the table newly in the process of change of our culture though it is disappeared.
