Research in Developing Tourist Craftworks & Souveniors in Choongju.Joongwon Area

The objec tive of this project is to develop excellent tourist craftworks that can effectively represent characteris tics of the local culture of Joongwon provin ce . For the production of touri st souveniors with useful functi on, various shapes and popul arity , four coworkers have de sign ed and produ ced cr aftwork s afte r researching individually in the ar ea' s tourist circumsta nces . Since long before Joongwon province has been a famous tourist place with its surrounding mounta ins, the Choongju Lake and the tourist industry of the area. To draw more touri sts to this pr ovince, and to activate the local touri st industry, the development of excellent tourist crafts that can be gaining general currency is a very important job. Thus this study aims at recogni zing the problems of tourist souveniors with low quality now having an extensive currency in genera l touri st area, and also at developing superior tourist cra ftworks with charac teristics of tourism and the local culture. On the basis of motifs that have been taken out of traditi onal culture and peculi ar trait of this area, we have produced samples for vario us tastes and pri ces by adopting an effec tive meth od of producti on and mat erial selec tion.
