The study of environment- friendly metal product process

It requires an progress changing toward one' s environment- friendly values centering on users, as the social interests on environmental problems increase, such as 'Well-Being' so that we would consider our environment and live a human and healthy life and 'Sick House Syndrome' recently rising as a social problem, while today the environment of product development is incorporated as one consistent system from design to manufacturing. Thus both the producer and consumer all promoted more interest and preference for "Green Design", and the recognition of the problem on environment-friendly concept was also spread. Now the practical solutions and measures of it must be further studied in design field. According to this social demand, all of professionals participating in design should be given practical activities so that they would develop and progress the environment- friendly informations on design materials, and it should be reborn environmental design products to cope with various desires of consumers with economical production through the combination of various materials on basis of environmental materials. The modem society gives richness to life, giving many benefits to human life and developing design by developing highly material civilization and achieving constant technological innovations. In addition, with the improvement of life environment and the diversification of life-cycle, we try to enjoy better life environment and cultural life, and use the products mixed with highly up- to-date functions in order to satisfy this. But, in modem life environment, as the population increases and the natural environment destroyes, it requires the conversion of recognition of designers as well as changes in life environment due to all kinds of environmental pollution. These changes and the conversion of values are not achieved or reorganized only by design. However, it has required the conversion of recognition of designers and partipators in the course of product development. This study is designted to analyze materials generally used in metal design products in order to lead to the conversion of thinking for deriving a wide range of the solution measures and to propose the appropriate methodological sides depending on it. Therefore, if pro-environmental materials can be selected and designed in the design phase, it necessarily follows that environmental design products are produced in the production phase. Now if we look away from solving the problems of life-environment preservation whether the self- reflection from design inside or the demand from design outside, its own true purpose of design for social contribution cannot help being diluted.
