A Study on the Design of the Hanji for Wrapping, using Computer Graphic and Window-Lattice

The goal of this study is to develop a high sensitive wrapping Hanji design, using computer graphic which is a new expressional tool of the designers, to make effective process of it, and to get variant effect through modern way for suitable wrapping Hanji , with Window-Lattice, among the traditional designs. In this paper, I studied on the meaning of the Window-Lattice, historical research, the uniqueness of the character of the form, the meaning of wrapping paper, and the meaning and character of Hanji, through the literatures and references. And, I could imagine today' s s ituation of the design of Hanji , through the nowaday's situation of the design of Hanji for wrapping. And, I suggested e ffective and scientific ways through the design, using computer graphic, constructing factors, and the way for arrangement. And, I studied on the practical way, through real market, on the background of these theories. The Hanji design, which is developed by this study, is a solution of environment problem, and , at the same time, I suggested thi s to make a opp ortunity for higher va lue of the produ cts, by satisfying human emotional de sire to be back to the nature. The computer graphic, whi ch is used for higher efficiency of the design , ca n change its sha pe and co lor, only with basic unit design , so we can save time and money, and it was possibl e for me to expec t good result by making trial products.
