A Study on Development of Kangjin Koryo Porcelain Tea Pottery

Korye Chung-ja is famous in Korean art history for its artistic value such as mysterious colour, beautiful contour and perfect harmony of sensitive and sophisticated patterns. Most of Chiing-ja are suspected to be made in Kang-Jin, so it can be said that Kang-Jin has been the center of Korean Chiing-ja culture. This is why we have to .pay attention to Kang-Jin as the origin place of Chifng-ja. Thi s thesis has the purposes as follows: First, to foster the Kang-Jin Chifng-ja industry, secondly to raise the refutation of the historical places where Kang-Jin Chiing-ja was made, thirdly to develop various forms of tea potteries of modern taste, and ultimately to increase the demand of Kang-Jin Chiing-ja and cultural goods related to it. We think all these purposes can contribute to activate local economy. The dyein g process by sa turation into the natur al dye substa nce is done by putting the mater ial, ready for dyeing, into the dye-water once or several times repeatedly. It also has several problems, which include, the complexity of the dyeing process, the low reliability of the dyeing substance and the dependence on manual work done by observing with the naked eye . Eventually, these problem s caused the slow down of industrialization . Furthermore, the mixed usc of dye substances and it is cataly st caused to develop the natura l dye subs tance and to increa se the dye ' s adhes iveness to the material. Th ose ar e the disadvantages of it' s use. This is the method to study silk screen print ing by using natural dye substance to make a specifie patterns on the clothing using various methods. The silk screen print ing needs to have the materi al dyed by the saturation method. Then the silk screen is printed by subtracting the colors to make another shade of color without using any additional dye substance. It only uses the natural dye substance mixture and it' s catalyst. It will help to print specific patterns on the materi al. Therefore it' s effec ts are available for using in various kinds of silk screen printing and to make different kinds of patterns equal to the natural dye substance method, which is both sa turating and then printing.
