The Study on Chinese modern lacquer - painting

China, Japan and Korea has long history and tradition in lacquerwork,but it is in China that laquer-painting became a new field of modern art, this paper focues on processing and techni cs of lacquer painting. The history of the development of lacq uer work can be devided into three period s. So to help to understand the early backgroud of modern lacquer. The fir st peri od is the initi al stage of Chine se modern lacquer. This peri od comes to the "Xinllai" revoluti on. In this peri od, lacquer had no identity as an dependent art. Durin g that time traditi onal Chinese lacquer had been continued and lacquer arts has some charac ters of picture. In this process, lacquer artists contributed much to the development and formati on of Chinese modern lacquer. The seco nd period is the stage that the lacquer was created and it was recognized as one part of the Chinese art. The third period is initi ated right after ' the 6th National Art Exhibition' . During this period, lacquer is developed through various exhibitions both in domestic and int ern ati onal , and this is also the period whe n lacqu er ed uca tio n is laun ched in nati on-wid e art co lleges . With the help of the learn ing about the history of lacquer art as above, we can understand the modern lacquer-p aint ing in China more easily.
