Since the beginning of the 20th century, the world tarted to show interest in nature and human beings in nature. As architecture foc used on 'the reg ress ion to nature ' whi ch is the ori gin of human beings, the tendency to combine nature and human beings as a unity (one) is gett in g stronger. Also, as interest in the nvironment has increased, the introduction of natural material to the arc hitectural enviro nment and the associati on with natural factors became e se nti al. The increase in the use of natural tones, which is caused by the increase in the buildings that use natural materi als for interior or exterior decoration, causes damages to the environment and brin gs abou t eco nomic problems such as importing foreign materi als and the rise in constructi on costs. Cement was introduced as a sub titute for natural s tones to olve uch problems. However, artifi cial stones th at are produced and so ld in this country as cement ornam e nts have created a monotonou environment beca use the artifici al stones si mply imitate the material of natural lone, which lacks in variety of hape , co lors, and de ign and creates monotony. This is far from what the people of today want; 'harmony with nature' or 'the pur uit of beauty' . Thi architectural environment cannot reflect the variou demand of thepeople; thus the design of a new sense/taste should be developed. The people of today not only demand the convenience of architecture, but also peace of mind in the artistic sense. In this stud y, we will recognize the importance of research on the de ign of cement ornaments th at determine the overall image of a constructi on. We will try to deve lop the materi als for inte rn al and ex tern al decorati ons th at can create harmony with the natural environment and decorate the appearance of a structure beautifully.
