The "discharge" techn ique is a method of color-removing or changing on pre-dyed fabric that results in unique and creative patt ern s and design s. Thi s paper will explore different part s of the discharge process including fabric selection, preparation, tools, recipe and techniques involved in the creation of a discha rged design. It will also expound upon the role and the need for developing of the discharge technique In fabrics. During my methods of research, I tested various discharge techniqu e experiments that were based on previously discovered, recorded, and research done in this area.
