A Study on the Manufacture of Floating Ceramic Mural Painting

This investigation is a work of public subscription for foundation of art mural painting at Sungdang pond Subway station in Tae-gu, and Kong-Kan com, a design com, recommends it and than judging committee in Tae,-gu Subway Center(within 10) establishes it by process of judgement. The foundation of work is finished between July. I. 1994 and June. 9. 1997. It is the purpose of investigation to a work that creates various cultural space in subway station and sets up a special creation mural painting by subway and enhances a level of intelligence to subway and contributes exaltation of public sentiment. The Conception of this Work is the purpose that Manufacture ceramic mural painting which it is safe, useful, and delightful space; it is formative and special with modern sentiment and antique beauty of Korea. We investigate background and condition to natural environment, a characteristic of floating ceramic material, a purpose and criterion of work design, a specification. and description to work, and manufacture process. Floating ceramic material is slight material which float on the water and is possible to powder forming and produces the surface of body and glaze as first firing. And the problem of firing shrinkage is expansion. It is possible to produce economically, after all, versatilely contribute to industry community. This floating ceramic mural painting is expression which presents development spirit in Taegu, 21 C, education, culture, science as ultramodern city and contributes relief space. And though new material ceramic application investigation, ceramic design harmonized environment ~ontributes development of civilized living.
