취학전 아동의 수용언어 및 표현언어 척도(PRES)의 개발

Content and Reliability Analyses of the Preschool Receptive - Expressive Language Scale (PRES)

본 연구는 2세-6세 취학전 아동들의 수용언어 및 표현언어 능력의 정도를 측정할 수 있는 검사도구(PRES)를 개발하고 그 문항 및 신뢰도를 분석하고자 하였다. PRES의 문항들은 언어발달 문헌들과 511명을 대상으로한 예비연구 결과를 기초로 하여 발달단계에 따라 문항을 구성함으로써 쉽게 발달연령을 찾을 수 있도록 하였다. 우선 문항 분석을 위하여 문항별 정확율에 따른 난이도 순위를 제시하였으며, 문항별로 연령 및 성별의 차이를 분석하였다. 신뢰도 분석을 위하여는 내적일관성 신뢰도와 재검사 신뢰도를 분석하였다. 문항의 내적일관성 신뢰도를 검증하기 위하여 621명의 아동 자료에서 산출한 Cronbach α 계수는 수용언어 및 표현언어 모두 .95로 유의미하였다. 재검사 신뢰도를 검증하기 위하여 7명의 아동에게 2주 간격으로 실시한 초기 검사와 재검사의 상관도는 수용언어 .78, 표현언어 .92로 유의미하였다.

T his study was designed to analyze the content and reliability of the PRES (Preschool Receptive- Expres sive Language Scale). The PRES has been developed to assess 2- to 6- year - old children s receptive and expressive language ability . Items of the PRES were based on language development and disorder literature and 3 pilot studies, using 511 normal children . In addition, 621 (292 males, 329 females ) normal children served as participant s of this study . Using the baseline and ceiling sy stem, the PRES provides receptive language age (RLA), expres sive language age (ELA), and combined language age (CLA). For content analyses, (1) Analyzes of the percentage of correct respon ses for each item and for each age level; (2) ANOVA by ages (2- to 6- year s ); and (3) t- test by sex were conducted. Rresult s of ANOVA by ages showed (1) that the items for the 2- year - olds were significant to differentiate between the age of 2 year s and other ages, (2) that the items for the 3- year - olds were significant to differentiate between the age of 2 year s and other ages and between the age of 3 year s and other ages, and (3) that the items for the age of 4 year - olds were significant among 4- , 5- , and 6- year s of age. Result s of the t- test by sex showed that only 13 out of 90 items were significantly different between the girls and boy s. For reliability analy ses, internal reliability and retest reliability were calculat ed. Cronbach α in r ecept iv e and expres siv e lan gu age test s wer e .95. Correlat ion s between the fir st and the second test s were .78 in the receptive language test and .92 in the expressive language test.
