모음환경에 따른 초성 /ㅅ/ , /ㅈ/ 및 /ㄹ/ 의 산출 연구

A Study on the Product ion of Initial /s/ (/ㅅ/ ), / c/ (/ㅈ/ ), an d / l/ (/ㄹ/ ) in the Vowel Environments

본 연구의 목적은 아동들이 가장 많이 오류를 범하는 말소리인 /ㅅ/ , /ㅈ/ 및 /ㄹ/ 의 모음환경에 따른 발음정확도의 차이를 알아보는 것이었다. 본 연구는 정상적인 조음발달을 보이지만 /ㅅ/ , /ㅈ/ 또는 /ㄹ/ 를 오조음 하는 아동 176명을 대상으로 하였으며, 단모음 / 이, 애, 어, 아, 우, 위/ 를 각각 그리고 서로 조합하여 CV와 VCV 문맥 총 42개의 무의미음절에서 아동이 산출한 목표말소리를 평가하였다. 아동의 연령은 목표말소리가 완전습득되기 전 연령, 즉 /ㅅ/와 /ㄹ/ 는 2세에서 5세 아동을 대상으로 했고 /ㅈ/ 는 2세에서 4세 아동을 대상으로 했다. 연구결과 CV 문맥과 VCV 문맥에서 /ㅅ/ , /ㅈ/ 및 /ㄹ/ 의 발음정확도는 모음환경과 연령에 따라 유의미한 차이를 보였다. CV 문맥에서 /ㅅ/ 는 2세, 3세, 4세, 5세 아동 모두 / 이/ 모음 앞에서 가장 정확하게 발음하였고, /ㅈ/ 는 2세 아동의 경우 /이/ 모음 앞에서, 3세와 4세 아동은 /우/ 모음 앞에서 가장 정확하게 발음하였다. /ㄹ/ 는 모음환경에 따른 차이가 /ㅅ/ 와 /ㅈ/ 에 비해 컸는데 전체적으로 / 우/ 와 / 이/ 모음 앞에서 발음 정확도가 가장 높았다. VCV 문맥에서 /ㅅ/ 는 2세 아동의 경우 /이/ 모음 뒤에서 그리고 3,4, 5세 아동은 / 아/ 모음 뒤에서 가장 정확하게 발음하였다. /ㅈ/ 는 2세와 4세 아동은 / 이/ 모음 뒤에서, 3세 아동은 / 우/ 모음 뒤에서 가장 정확하게 발음했다. /ㄹ/ 는 2세 아동의 경우 / 이/ 모음 뒤에서 가장 정확하게 발음했고 3세, 4세, 5세 아동은 / 우/ 모음 뒤에서 가장 정확하게 발음했다.

The purpose of the present study was to investigate whether children who misarticulate / s/ , / c/ or / l/ show differences in articulation accuracy depending on the vowel environment s, whether each age group shows differences in articulation accuracy of / s/ , / c/ and / l/ in accordance with different vowel environment s, and whether each age group demonstrates different error pattern s depending on the vowel environment s . T he subject s were children who demon strated normal development in articulation except for the misarticulations of / s/ , / c/ or / l/ . One hundred and seventy - six children participated in the present study , 2 to 5 year s in age. Forty - two nonsense syllables of CV and VCV were used as stimuli to elicit the children s responses. T he result s of the study are as follows : (1) the levels of accuracy of / s/ , / c/ , and / l/ were significantly different between different vowels in the context of both CV and VCV; (2) the levels of accuracy of / s/ , / c/ , and / l/ were significantly different between age groups in the context of both CV and VCV; and (3) different error pattern s were found in the productions of / s/ , / c/ , and / l/ in terms of both vowel environment s and age groups.
