The 9th art and ideology in Eastern Europe since the close of World War II - A sketch of Polish cartoon and socialist realism in 1945-1989

A genre of art, cartoon bridges the schizm of typography, image-animation and digital culture in the course of transference of the the times while expressing the advancement of art. The greater part of socialist states in Eastern Europe have recognized the influence of art upon the public, so that have taken control of art related affairs. I have selected a Polish cartoon-animation to examplify a proper model similar to the central administration of film-producing of Soviet Russia (главное управление кинематогр афии). It is very controlled by goverment Documentary & Feature Film Studio, which take charge of manufacturing screen products in Poland. This article presents briefly its history, network system, and organizational construction. From post-bellum( World War II) to the beginning of 1990s, the characteristics of representative author, producer, creation, and media publishing, divided the polish cartoon into classes by period according to political conditions of the days. It is to be classified into six stages (1945-48, 49-53, 54-56, 56-66, 66-81, 82-89, 89-91) in mutual relation to authority, ideology and art. With annotation there endow times with symbolic titles to make them clear while adding the atmosphere with which society had dealt, setting background, and a brief work commentary. By being affected by control, this article is inquired into how to accomodate itself to socialist measures and theory. The degeneration of creative works was different from what they primarily intended. The following refers to post political reform. Due to the western influence, variety in consuming public preference, and the prompt advance of foreign business circles, the organization of market structure changed greatly
