Purchasing Behaviors and Size Satisfaction of Climbing Wear for Elderly

The purpose of this study was to research the purchasing behaviors and size satisfaction for the elderly people. The survey participants were 296 men and women aged from 30's to 60's who had previous climbing experiences. The collected data was conducted by descriptive statistics, correlation analysis and cross- table analysis. The importance level of functional, material, sewing, size was high and the importance level of design, price, color was low when purchasing climbing wear. The climbing clothes' designs of the jacket, shirt, pants, vest are dissatisfied with the highest rates in silhouettes. The climbing clothes on the material of all items were dissatisfied in terms of body temperature sustainability. The reasons for length related dissatisfaction were the long lengths of jacket and shirt sleeves and the long lengths of pants. There was a high percentage of people who complained about the waist size of the pants being too small. Ready-made variety for the buyer's taste and subdivision of the size system are necessary for the satisfaction of the elderly people who are using climbing clothes.
