This study aims to provide basic data necessary for nutrition education of high school students by grasping the actual conditions of intake of beverages of 465 persons of 1st year and 2nd year boy & girl general high school students in Cheong-ju and analyzing related factors influencing on intake of beverages. so to be applied in presenting scheme for teenagers to properly choose beverage with correct understanding. High school student's general matters, eating habits of those surveyed showed difference between boy and girl. Those surveyed were 234 boy students and 231 girl students, BMI average were 21.3 for boy students and 20.1 for girl students being in normal weight. Of intake of beverages related factors according to BMI, differences to be attended to were shown in water intake per day, weight-control experience, weight-control method, whether constipated or not, repast, eating speed, eating out frequency. From the beverage intake actual condition of high student, the school boy in order to know the additive, the school girl in order to know a calorie appeared with the reason which confirms a beverage selection at the time of food stuffs ingredient indication. Mass consuming beverages of high school students were barley tea, meal milk, ion beverage in order for boy students, and barley tea, milk, school meal milk in order for girl students. Differences to be attended to were shown according to sex, BMI in intake of beverage frequency of high school students. Proposal for succeeding study and education based on results were this follows. Comprehensive and various methods of study on factor of resent less intake of carbonated drink by high school students were necessary and intake of milk source of supply of calcium should be positively recommended to girl students with low intake frequency of milk. And problem of teeth, fatness out of excessive intake of beverage should be prevented through beverage related nutrition education.
