DEA와 AHP를 이용한 병원경영 효율성 평가

Efficiency Evaluation of General Hospitals Using DEA and AHP Model

이 연구는 DEA(Data envelopment analysis)모형과 AHP(Analysis hierarchy process)모형을 이용하여 종합병원의 경영효율성을 각각 평가하고, AHP 가중치를 이용하여 각 변수에 질적 중요도를 반영한 효율성 결과와 상호 비교하였다. 경영효율성 평가를 위해 사용한 투입변수는 인력, 병상, 의료비용이며 산출변수는 환자와 의료수익을 선정하였다. 효율성 개념을 생산효율성(Productivity)과 수익효율성(Revenue)로 구분하여 2차원 매트릭스로 분석하고 생산효율성과 수익효율성이 좋은 벤치마킹 대상 병원을 제시하였다. 이 연구는 각 변수의 질적 요소와 양적 요소를 통합하면서 종합병원의 상대적 효율성을 다양한 관점에서 평가한다는 차원에서 병원경영자나 정책결정자에게 유용한 의미를 제공할 것으로 기대한다.

The purpose of this paper is to evaluate and compare the efficiency of general hospitals using DEA(Data Envelopment Analysis) and AHP(Analysis Hierarchy Process). AHP method also is used to obtain the relative weights of variables. Each of relative weights are used to represent qualitative importance of variables. The selected input variables include the number of staffs, the number of beds and the amount of medical cost. And output variables include the number of adjusted yearly inpatients and the medical revenue. This paper divided efficiency to productivity efficiency and revenue efficiency. And a twodimensional analysis for assessing hospital efficiency has been carried out using both DEA and AHP. This paper provides a more comprehensive method to the hospital managers or the policy makers for evaluating the efficiency of general hospitals in terms of their relative efficiencies also incorporating the qualitative factors and quantitative factors of the variables.
