군 범죄가 미치는 파급효과는 전투력손실은 물론 국민들의 군에 대한 불신을 초래하는 직접적인 원인이 되기 때문에 군 범죄예방은 매우 중요하다. 앞으로 효과적인 군 범죄예방 활동을 위해서는 군 조직 특성 및 생활환경을 고려한 범죄사회학 측면에서의 접근이 무엇보다 필요할 것이다. 범죄사회학적 이론 중에서 실증적 분석 및 실제 적용을 통해 효과를 거둔 "깨진 유리창 이론"에 기초한 군 범죄예방 활동 대안을 제시하고자 한다. 이는 군대 환경의 개선, 기초질서 및 군 기본자세 확립을 중점으로 하는 기초와 기본에 충실한 부대관리가 군 범죄예방에 큰 효과를 얻어 전투력 손실을 막고 나아가서 국민의 사랑과 신뢰를 받는 군대로 발전되리라 기대한다.

Military crime leads directly on the loss of combat strength and distrust of people that it is important to take precautionary actions. To prrevent the military crime effectively, it is necessary to reflect special characteristics of military organization and military's unique living condition based on criminal sociology. "Broken Window Theory" is a part of criminal sociology theory and it has proven its effectiveness through observation analysis and application. Presenting alternative plan for the military crime prevention based on Broken Window Theory. This will cultivate military environment, basic orders, establishment of military discipline and military unit management. This will obstruct military crimes and reduce the loss of combat strength. Further, it will gain trust of the people
