물류기업의 정보시스템 효율성 분석

오늘날 기업들은 경쟁력 있는 비교우위 확보를 위하여 정보기술을 혁신적인 비즈니스 솔루션으로 이용하고 있다. 정보기술의 고도화와 정교화는 이전보다 높은 수준의 비즈니스 전략과 정보조직에 영향을 미치고 있다. 공급사슬관리의 개념이 정보기술과 접목되어 웹기반 서비스를 제공하며 전체 물류과정이 화주와 물류기업간에 물류정보기술로 주문․검색․화물추적 등 물류 e-비즈니스 서비스가 이루어지고 있다. 오늘날 글로벌 물류기업은 물류 e-비즈니스 서비스 경쟁이 심화되어가고 있으며 물류정보시스템은 물류기업의 핵심역량분야로써 비교우위의 확보가 필요하다. 물류 e-비즈니스가 성공하기위해서는 최적의 전략과 화주의 만족이 수반 될 때 성장의 기회가 된다. 물류정보에 많은 투자를 필요로 하며 그 운용방법은 거의 동일한 조건에서 대화주서비스를 제공하고 있어 글로벌 물류기업은 물류시설과 서비스를 보다 체계적이며 효과적으로 활용하여 경영의 효율성을 높여야한다. 따라서 본 연구는 글로벌 물류기업이 운영하고 있는 정보시스템의 효율성을 분석하고 비효율적인 문제를 해결하기 위한 정책적 방안을 제시하며 글로벌 물류기업의 정보시스템 효율성 증진을 위한 실증적 근거를 기반으로 세부 운영방법을 도출하고자 한다. 본 연구는 제1장 서론, 제2장 DEA의 모형과 글로벌 물류기업의 정보시스템, 제3장 기존연구의 검토, 변수선정, 제4장 실증경과로서 글로벌물류기업의 정보시스템 효율성 측정, 효율성 증대방안, 제5장 결론으로 구성되어 있다. 본 연구는 탐색적인 실증연구를 하여 물류기업에 비교우위가 될 수 있는 물류 e-비즈니스의 핵심역량인 정보시스템의 운영에 관한 효율성을 파악하고 방안을 제시하고자 한다.

Logistics e-business has a chance to further develop when it is accompanied by an optimized strategy and user satisfaction. Logistics service can maximize the efficiency of freight management and information sharing by removing inefficiencies and duplications and strengthening the collaboration level of SCM in international transactions. E-Logistics connects logistics e-business to internal and external information systems by using WMS, TMS, and OMS. This paper aims to develop a benchmark for performance standards for Global Logistics Providers in the merging logistics market. The 3PL of Global Logistics Providers are compared and analyzed using the DEA technique. This paper focuses on analyzing the efficiency of the top fifty Global Logistics Providers. Forthe analysis, the annual turnover and major shippers are used as output measures and the number of information system operations and the grade of information systems of Logistics Providers as input measures. According to CCR and BCC matrix, there are nineefficient companies: DHL, Panalpina, UPS, C.H. RW, Caterpillar, OHL, Werner, Transplace, and J.B.HUNT. The research provides the inefficient Decision Making Units with the benchmarking strategies. This paper also shows that the strategies are dependent on assets such as the number of information system operations and the grade of information systems of Logistics Providers.
