다양성에 기초한 프랑스 유아교육의 동향분석

Analyse On Early Childhood Education System in France, in the base of diversity

본 연구는 자유 평등 박애의 프랑스 혁명정신이 유아교육 분야에 스며들어 국가가 적극적으로 개입함으로써 유아공교육의 성공적 모델을 제시하고 있는 프랑스 유아교육제도의 현황을 살펴보고 최근 프랑스 유아교육의 동향을 다양성(diversité)의 관점에서 분석하고자 한다. 다양성의 가치는 21세기 사회문화적 현상을 대변하는 패러다임으로서의 탈근대주의, 포스트모더니즘(post-modernism)이 지향하는 가치로, 이는 그동안 소외되었던 교육문제에 대한 관심증가와 교육프로그램, 교수방법 및 교사의 역할 등 교육에 있어서의 패러다임 전환을 이끌고 있다. 본 연구는 유아교육 공교육화의 성공적 모델을 제시하는 프랑스 유아교육의 동향을 다양성을 바탕으로 분석함으로써 현대 유아교육의 정체성에 대한 논의와 함께 유아공교육체제로의 기반을 다지고 있는 한국 유아교육에 대한 시사점을 도출하고자 하였다.

This study is to examine the administrative and financial organizations, the educational and social role of French Early Childhood Educational Institution(ecole maternelle) and analyse the recent reforms and the stream of change in base of diversity as postmodern value, including multicultural education, inclusive education and connection with primary school. Especially, multicultural education in France, called intercultural education, is guided by the principles of diversity, openness, equal opportunity and social unity. Finally this study points to some implications and suggestions for the problems currently facing the korean early childhood education system and for the reorganization of korean school system.
