The Father's Participation on Rearing of Children and What Children Understand on this Images

본 연구의 목적은 아버지의 양육참여행동이 어떠한지, 그리고 아버지의 양육참여에 대해 실제 자녀들이 어떻게 인식하고 있는 지를 알아보는 것이다. 본 연구대상은 경기도에 거주하는 만 4세, 만 5세 자녀가 있는 아버지와 그 자녀들 총 140명이다. 아버지의 양육참여도를 알아보기 위해 질문지 형식의 척도를 사용하였으며, 유아에게 아버지에 대한 이미지를 그림으로 그리고 설명하게 하였다. 그 결과 첫째, 아버지는 여가활동을 통한 양육참여를 가장 많이 하는 것으로 나타났으며, 아버지의 학력, 자녀와 보내는 시간은 양육참여도에 영향을 미치는 반면 아버지의 연령은 양육참여도에 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 자녀는 아버지의 양육참여에 대하여 여가활동과 관련된 이미지를 가장 많이 가지고 있는 것으로 나타났고, 가사활동과 관련된 이미지를 가장 낮게 인식하는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 아버지의 양육참여에 대한 이미지는 여가생활, 인지적 성취 지도, 생활지도, 가사활동 등으로 다양하게 표현되었으며, 양육에 참여하지 않는 경우도 다양한 이미지로 표현되고 있었다. 연구의 결과는 부모교육 및 유아교육 현장교육과 연계하여 논의되었다.

The purpose of this study were to investigate the father's participation in child rearing, and to understand young children's view on this image. The subject of this study were 140 fathers and young children. Instruments were questionnaires for fathers and young children drew images of father's, and explained the meaning of their drawings. The results were as follows: First, fathers was participanted leisure activity among the father's participation in child rearing. The time fathers share with their children and level of education have no correlation father's participation in child rearing. Second, young children's the most perceived leisure time. According to this imagery, young children's perceived leisure time, guidance for thinking, guidance for behavior, house keeping. This study revealed the importance of father's role in child rearing.
