초등학생의 글쓰기 화제 선호도 연구

A Study on Element School Students' Preference for the Subject of Writing

The purpose of this study is to investigate element school students' preference for the subject of writing which can arouse the interest of element school students in writing, and give a help in writing from the endogenous starting point. Element school students' attitude of writing led to the completion can be different, if the subject is related to their background, experience, and environment. According to the investigation of students writing in school, each of students write differently even if the same subject is given to them. Additionally, even if a certain student writes several works, each completed writing can be different according to situation, experience, and preference. If any subject of writing related to students' preference is suggested without any limitation, they can be more interested in writing, and write more creatively. Owing to this, the researcher started this study. Each chapter of this study is summarized as follows. Chapter Ⅰ is to clarify the necessity and purpose of this study, and consider previous studies related to this study. Chapter Ⅱ is to define the concept of subject, and clarify the importance of subject in regards to concept. And in this chapter, the researcher examined the definition of categorizing the subject of writing, and studied the method for the categorization. Additionally, the researcher prepared basic data to categorize the subject by reviewing several theses. Chapter Ⅲ is to suggest the method and procedure of this study. In this chapter, the researcher analyzed element school students' preference for the subject of writing, and interpreted the data with 300 students in Busan Sungbook Elementary school. In this chapter, the researcher conducted the survey to analyze the result of students' preference for the subject of writing, the first questionnaire was used to analyze the preference according to the category of subject, and the second questionnaire was used to analyze the preference for the subject of writing in each of three situations, persuasive writing, descriptive writing, emotion-expressive writing. Paragraph 2 is to describe the procedure and method to plan the questionnaire. Paragraph 1 of Chapter Ⅳ is to analyze and interpret the result of preference according to the category of subject. First, in this paragraph, the researcher analyzed the preference for the subject of writing with targeting on all elementary school students. Also the researcher analyzed the result according to grade and gender, and particularly the grade was classified into 3 groups, low grade(1st and 2nd grade), middle grade(3rd and 4th grade), and high grade(5th and 6th grade). In paragraph 2, the researcher analyzed the result of preference for the subject in each situation. That is, the researcher analyzed the preference for the subject of persuasive writing according to grade and gender, and also descriptive and emotion-expressive writings were interpreted in the same way. Chapter Ⅴ is the discuss the problems and improvements with subject suggested in textbook on the basis of analysis in Chapter Ⅳ. The researcher could find that there was a difference between the subject suggested in present textbook and the subject that students prefer, and also in the event of writing depending on the situation, there was a difference between the subject suggested and the subject that students prefer. in the class or by giving a challenge, teachers who teach students directly can give them the time for writing on the basis of the subject that they prefer. The consideration of subject in writing can give a help to students' interest in writing and endogenous starting point. This study limited the subject of 1st and 2nd questionnaire to 300 students in Busan, and thus there is a little limit in grasping the tendency of national nationwide element school students' preference for the subject of writing.
