본 연구는 재무지표를 이용한 KR (Korea Ratings) 사에 유효한 등급을 가진 우리나라 해운 선사의 효율성 평가를 수행하였다. 본 논문의 주요 목적은 이들 기업의 운영 효율성을 평가하여 이를 KR가 평가한 등급과 비교하는데 있으며, 또한 관리자들이 경영성과를 향상시키기 위한 운영 성과 상황과 민감도분석을 제시하였다. 이 연구는 KR가 유효 등급을 유지하고 있는 우리나라 7개 해운 선사들을 전통적인 DEA와 윈도우 분석을 적용하여 2004년부터 2009년까지의 효율성 추세를 제시하였다.
This study provides an efficient evaluation for a shipping industry using financial indicators. The main purpose of this paper is to measure the operating efficiency of shipping firms with financial indicators, compare the result with the Korea Rating Company (KRC)’s ratings, and to highlight the status of operation performance so that managers can improve their performance. This study also is an application of data envelopment analysis (DEA) with window analysis to calculate the operating efficiency trends of 7 shipping firms.
