A Study of the Improvement of Credibility on the Real Estate Portal Sites

There is a drift toward emphasizing the importance of real estate portal sites on the Internet as a tool for collecting data on the strength of excellent information and communications infrastructure. Thus the influence of property portal sites over its market has expanded, but there are many problems. Especially the credibility of the market value on property portal sites is the main issue in recent. In the research, I analyze the reliability of real estate portal sites as the data media through doing a survey and referring to the literatures. In the survey, target was limited to Gangnamgu in Seoul due to the area represents the highest market value of apartment in South Korea, and the sampling was grouped into the residents, the brokers, and the real estate experts. According to the analysis I suggest that the introduction and vitalization of voluntary restraint system, legal and institutional modification of real estate portal sites, standardization of real estate information, and improvement of competitiveness property information industry in order to improve the reliability of the information on the real estate portal sites. The introduction of voluntary restraint system should not be delayed any more, and the Government also has to establish regulations to prevent expansion of distorted information. Besides, we are able to ensure public confidence by standardization of real estate information, and the Government and the industry build a cooperative system to improve the competitiveness. These efforts will reduce social cost and improve the reliability of the information on the real estate portal sites. The real estate markets in and outside the country are required to be transparent, scientific, and advanced. Therefore, we should develop our abilities to cope actively with the change and improve the reliability. In addition, all these efforts discussed here should be as a part of customer satisfaction. I hope the research come to these efforts' aid.
