집중이수제 시행에 따른 중학교 미술교과 운영방안

Operation of Art Education in Middle Schools Utilizing The Concentrated Subject System

본 연구의 목적은 중학교 미술교육현장에서 2009 개정 교육과정의 일환인 집중이수제의 효율적인 운영방안을 모색하는데 있다. 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위해 2010 서울시 시범학교의 집중이수 적용사례 조사와 2011학년도 시행대상 학교의 교사 심층인터뷰를 하고 그 결과를 분석하였다. 이 과정에서 문헌 연구를 병행하고 학년군을 대비해 3개년 합본으로 제작된 중학교 2007 개정 미술교과서 9종과 외국의 집중이수 실태를 참고하여 집중이수제의 시행 가능성을 고찰하였다. 연구 결과는 집중이수제의 현장적용이 많은 문제점을 내포하고 있으나 미술교사의 역량에 따라 교수-학습 활동에 의미 있는 진전이 있을 수도 있다고 나타났다. 연구 분석결과를 종합하여 집중이수제의 운영에 대비한 미술교육현장의 효율적인 운영방안을 제시하고자 한다.

The purpose of this study is to design effective teaching methods for art education in middle schools utilizing the revision of the National curriculum in 2009 which regularizes the concentrated subject system. To achieve this goal, case studies in model schools, designated as such in 2010 by the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education, that have implemented and are experimenting with this concentrated subject system have been reviewed, and intensive interviews with teachers who will teach at schools that will apply this system in 2011 have taken place and analysed. While doing this study, the best possibilities for implementation were examined, including research of previous studies, references, and rationale. In addition, nine different kinds of 2007 middle school revised art textbooks which integrate all three years’ contents into one book were reviewed. Research on contemporary situations in foreign countries was done as well. The result of this study shows possibilities of meaningful progress that could be made depending on professional abilities and skills of art teachers even though the system implies the possibility of some problems when it is adopted. Effective methodologies on operating art education utilizing the concentrated subject system which are based on the interpretation of the research analysis are presented in this study.
