Revisiting the Theories on the Evolution of Altruistic Strategy: From a View Point of Positive Assortation

본 논문은 이타적 협조 전략의 진화를 가능케 하는 제 요인들을 유유상종의 관점에서 재조명한다. 이타적 협조 전략의 진화를 둘러싸고 제시된 가설들간의 수리적 동등성을 확인하는 것을 넘어서, 본 논문은 이타적 협조 전략의 진화를 가능케 하는 제 조건들은 모두 상당할 정도로 유유상종이 존재해야 충족될 수 있음을 보일 것이고, 그에 입각해서 각 조건들이 얼마나 현실적으로 충족될 가능성이 있는지를 평가할 것이다.

This paper revisits the theories on the evolution of altruism from a viewpoint of positive assortation. Beyond finding a mathematical equivalence among the conditions for the evolution of cooperation suggested by each theory, the paper shows that each theory 'implicitly' assumes a significant degree of positive assortation. Each theory is critically evaluated based on whether positive assortation is successfully created and maintained during the evolutionary process.
