감탄사의 문법 범주에 대한 연구

A study on grammatical category of exclamation in Korean. Dongnam Journal of Korean Language & Literature 30. This study is focused on a grammatical category of exclamation in Korean. The respect of Normative grammar in Korean, a exclamation is classified as a independent element. That is, exclamation has no relation to a sentence. But I think exclamation affects to the sentence in syntactic.semantic respect because exclamation carries syntactic.semantic functions. At the point of syntactic function, exclamation modifies other word. And at the point of semantic function, exclamation expresses the meaning of modality. Among a part of speech in Korean, adverb carries these function. So I argue that the characteristics of exclamation has something in common with adverb as agrammatical category in Korean. For this purpose I suggest that adverb's system has modification, conjunction and modality function in Korean. The exclamation is included in adverb expresses modal meaning, that is modality function adverb.(Kyungsung University)
