독서교육의 전통시대 교수법 활용 탐색

Study on Applicable Method of Traditional Reading Education

전통시대의 독서는 먼저 사람다움을 이룬 이후의 일, 그리고 마음까지 푹 젖어야 함을 강조한다는 점에서 오늘날의 그것과 변별력이 있다. 이런 점에서 볼 때, 지식과 삶의 분리로 인한 현대교육의 폐해는 ‘책 따로 나 따로’라는 옛 전적의 문구와 그 맥을 같이 한다. 이에 본고에서는 보다 종합적으로 의미를 파악하기 위해 소리 내어 읽는 방법과, 읽은 내용을 간추리는 가운데 분명치 않은 점을 발견하고 이를 해결하기 위해 여러 책에서 용례를 탐색하려는 방식을 제안한다. 이는 문제풀이식 내용 파악과 느낌의 수동적인 표현이 주된 활동으로 자리 잡은 현대의 독서교육의 단점을 보완하고 읽는 이의 자발적인 문제의식의 도출과 현실의 삶에서의 적용이라는 독서의 본질적인 측면을 시도함으로써 전통시대 독서론 중 현대교육에 활용될 수 있는 방안을 강구하려는 뜻이다.

The purpose of this research is to help better understanding of Applicable Method of Traditional Reading Education. In order for achieving this aim, I have examined factors of traditional thoughts on reading method. Through this analysis, it was possible to apprehend reading criteria of two areas : ① reading meaning[Reading is second activity] ② reading method[It must be absorbed on reading(涵泳). Otherwise It is separated book and reader(書自書 我自我)]. With those contents, I proposed two applicable methods of reading Education : ①pronouncing reading(聲讀) ② summarizing & relating. This approach brought to a conclusion in emphasizing on necessary to make up for the weak points in the current reading methods. Therefore, this research propose that traditional methods should be turned an overlooking meaning on reading in itself to good account.
