The purpose of this paper is to analyze the sea's negotiation & change of Nakdong-River’s mouth-area with China-Dynasties & the Han’s(漢) prefectures(郡縣) at the ancient-societies. Recently the Nakdong-River’s mouth area is being developed as a center for international trade. The development is not new. as early as between the 3rd and 2nd Century B.C. the area had contacts with the prefectures of the Han Dynasty. during the 3rd Century A.D. the river mouth became a sea intersection connecting the Upper Nakdong(洛東江上流), the East- Sea(東海), the South-Sea(南海),and the Strait of Korea(大韓海峽). The iron of the Kimhae(金海) region in the vicinity was exported to the all four directions. The dates of the Chinese artifacts in the region such as bronze mirrors and vessels indicate the regions made plural contacts with various dynasties in China proper during the period of the Southern and Northern Dynasties. The political changes during the Three Kingdom period did not hinder its contacts with China proper. Even after the conquest of the region by the Shilla Kingdom the region continued the important role of the previous centuries. However, the unification of the peninsula under the Goryo-Dynasty(高麗) in the 10th century changed the political geography of the region. the importance of the region as a trading center declined dramatically, only retaining a function as a trading post toward Japan.(Dong-A University.Dong-Eui University)
