유아기 자녀를 둔 어머니들의 유아경제교육에 대한 인식

A study on mothers' perception of young childrens' economic education

본 연구는 경기도 지역에 소재한 영유아 교육기관에 다니는 자녀를 둔 어머니 들을 대상으로 유아경제교육에 대한 인식을 알아보고자 하였다. 연구결과 유아경제교육의 필요성에 대한 어머니의 인식에서 어머니들은 대부분 현재의 경제문제에 대해 심각하다고 인식하고 있으며, 경제와 경제교육에 대한 관심 또한 높게 나타났다. 유아기 경제교육의 필요성에 대하여 많은 어머니들은 유아가 바른 경제개념을 갖고 경제에 대한 올바른 태도를 기르기 위해라고 응답하였으며, 유아경제교육의 내용이나 방법에 대한 학습경험은 없다는 응답이 많았으며, 정보출처로 TV, 신문 잡지 등 대중매체가 가장 많았다. 유아경제교육의 목표 중 가장 중요한 것으로는 경제와 관련된 기본적인 생활습관의 형성을 들었으며, 경제교육에 대한 부모교육에 대해 대부분의 어머니들은 부모교육이 필요하며 참여하겠다고 응답하였다. 유아경제교육의 지원방향에 대한 내용에서는 부모를 대상으로 하는 교육지원에 대한 필요가 가장 높게 나타났다. 본 연구결과는 어머니의 경제교육에 관한 인식과 요구를 기초로 하여 가정의 경제문화를 이해하고 시대의 흐름에 맞는 유아들의 올바른 경제교육 확립을 위하여 어머니의 경제교육 실천을 지원할 수 있는 부모교육 프로그램 개발의 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

The purpose of this study is to survey what perception is on economic education for young children of mothers. This survey performed with mothers whose children were attending kindergarten & day care center in Gyunggi-do area. I used survey tool revised of article Jang Myung ju(2004). Data were analyzed by Means, Stand and deviation, %, and Pearson’s correlation analysis using the SPSS 15.0 +computer program. To accomplish this purpose, the following questions should be researched: 1. What is their recognition of mothers' on children economic education? 2. Mothers' recognition of children economic education according to socio-population factors? 3. what is the correlation among sub-factors of economics concept? This survey tells us as followings.: Most mothers agreed that children economic education are needed, and have strong interest on this matter. They replied as to enhance children’s right attitude and sense on economic. otherwise they didn't have any chance to learn this matter, others who have heard this matter through mess media. the sources are mostly on TV, Newspapers, magazines. The main goal of child ren economic education is for building sense of economic, for this, they agree to needs of participating any program for parents. for this, we have to develop program for parents to train their children by themselves. In working-mom group, this matters show high records because they participate economic activity. on this we regards working mom realized that sense unawareness. Since participation economic activity leads more recognition of children economic education, the relationship among dependant variables are very close to each other in any job. children economic education is needed urgently why this matters is important to children to decide their economic standard future. This research aimed to establish ‘parents program' for home children economic education in the sense of that in mothers' right understanding of children economic education based of mother's recognition of economic will support better chance to children.
