다문화 가정의 신앙 정착을 위한 교회 교육의 접근 방법 고찰

A Study on How to Develop Church Education which can help Multi Cultural Families Believe in God

South Korea is turning into a multi-cultural society. The number of foreigners living in this country now reaches 1.1m. This means that South Korea is shifting from a ethnically homogeneous country to a multi-cultural one. In this situation, this thesis focuses on the direction of church education that helps multi cultural families believe in God. Before the 1980s, international marriage was not common, which is why it mainly occurred between Korean women and American soldiers stationed in South Korea. Since 1990, however, international marriage has been on the rise. The number of foreign women who got married with Korean men exceeds 125,000. The number of foreigners who became naturalized Korean through marriage is now above 4,000. There are justifiable reasons behind this phenomenon. Due to globalization, people are changing their perception and philosophy about international marriage. Also, the number of unmarried Korean men and women is exponentially growing. In addition, people think that marriage is a means of escaping from poverty, and international marriage is easier than ever because of the rise in international marriage brokers. Based on the theory of church education, this thesis offers a ministry model through "Maria Harris' Theory of Church's Education Ministry Curriculum", which helps multi-cultural families believe in God. This thesis deals with multi-cultural families and their challenges in the second chapter, talks about biblical facts in the third chapter which are useful in preaching multi-cultural families, outlines five curriculums about education ministry for multi cultural families in the fourth chapter, and offers the direction of church education for multi cultural families in the fifth chapter by establishing a ministry model of church education which deals with its theory and the aim and content of education ministry. Also, the fifth chapter specifically provides the method for church education by talking about a relationship with God, the church community, neighbors(the local community), or between husband and wife, father and mother, and children. In conclusion, this thesis focuses on how the Korean church develops a co-existent relationship with multi cultural families and educate them.
