This study analyzed metaphoric transfer aspects focusing on natural materials used in Kim Hyeon-Seung's late period poetry, 『Wing』 and 『On the last earth』. In this paper, following Hrushovski's theory, metaphoric imagination system of his poetry is generalized by analyzing metaphor in the level of discourse not in the level of word. In chapter 2, transferable aspect to the inflexible natural materials shown on Kim Hyeon-Seung's late period poetry is studied. In this chapter, it is discussed that the level of man or the level of man's inner side is mostly transferred to the level of inflexible natural material. The transfer is suggested to the condition of lost life force and forms limited lives such as stop, severance, exhaustion, and extinction. It is acted as an opportunity of a transfer to transcendence. In chapter 3, transferable aspect to the flexible natural materials is studied. In this chapter, it is discussed that the level of man or the level of man's inner side is transferred to the level of flexible natural material. The transfer means disassemble or extinction by disappearing phenomenon and embodies transcendence by expansion or spread. In short, Kim Hyeon-Seung's late period poetry is developed by making contrast between transfer aspect to flexible nature and transfer aspect to inflexible nature. Therefore, it is clear that metaphor is a significant aesthetic principle in his late period poetry, realizing transcendence with the awareness of limited existence.
