In the narrative texts in Welinsekpo 1 and 2 of late Middle Korean, finite verb forms with the prefinal ending {∅} express chronological sequences of events, while those with the prefinal ending {te}, in many cases, represent simultaneous events or the events that are chronological overlapped. This observation suggests that the opposition of {∅}:{te} can be regarded as an aspectual opposition of aorist : imperfect.
