This study analyzes how the main two factors causing stress at work, role conflict and overloaded responsibilities, affect job satisfaction and subsequent turnover. The results show that: First, role conflict between employees cause stress, which affects work satisfaction, compensation satisfaction and promotion satisfaction. Second, role overload produces more stress on the job, which affects promotion satisfaction but does not significantly affect work satisfaction or compensation satisfaction. Third, job satisfaction factors, that is, work satisfaction, compensation satisfaction and promotion satisfaction, affect the turnover rate. The study has importance for the following reasons: First, job satisfaction was examined with factors divided into work satisfaction, compensation satisfaction and promotion satisfaction. Second, it was found that compensation satisfaction serves as a antecedent variable (predictor) of work satisfaction. Third, turnover intention was tested through path analysis. In the process of this path analysis, it was concluded that the stress from overloaded responsibilities is the most direct factor affecting turnover intention.
